What’s New in VantaFocus - November 2025

Cross-device blocking, Chrome extension, redesigned profiles, and free public testing.

This is our biggest update so far. VantaFocus can now block distracting websites across all your devices, including your iPhone and your Chrome browser (Windows/Mac)

Here’s everything that’s new:

1. Cross-Device Blocking

You can now attach a list of blocked websites to each focus profile. When you start a profile with Cross-Device Blocking enabled, the Chrome extension activates instantly and blocks every website you’ve assigned to that profile.

To protect your privacy, we designed this feature with end-to-end encryption:

• Your blocked websites are encrypted on your device
• The server never sees which sites you block
• Only your VantaFocus app and your paired Chrome extension can decrypt this information
• Apps you choose to block on your phone are stored locally and never leave your device

This makes VantaFocus one of the most secure focus systems available — and it ensures that you can’t escape to your laptop when your phone is blocked.

2. Redesigned Profile Creation

Profiles are now more personal, more flexible, and easier to set up.

You can now customize each profile with:

• A unique profile icon
• A custom color theme
• Cross-device blocking options
• A simplified app selector for choosing which apps to block locally

The entire creation flow is faster, cleaner, and far more intuitive — making it easier to build the perfect focus setup for every situation.
